Women Build

What is Women Build?

Since 1991, Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build volunteers have joined forces from all walks of life to create stronger, safer communities. Here in Bergen County, Women Build invites anyone who wants to learn how to construct or repair a home to come together and make a difference.

Why Women Build?

Women and children often feel the greatest impact of poor living conditions. By participating in Women Build, women in our own Bergen County neighborhoods take a proactive role in improving local housing conditions and creating brighter futures.

A collaborative experience Women Build is a wonderful way to get involved, whether you plan to bring your friends and family or come solo and meet new people. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, and no prior construction experience is required. Under the guidance of our construction professionals, you’ll gain new skills and the satisfaction of building a lasting impact on your community.
